One week!!

One week before my daughter, and grandaughter take me and drop me off at Glasgow - Do they not know that I know my way back from there - you would think they would pick a more remote place if they wanted to lose me!
Finishing off my shifts at work by Weds am, and literally got one day left to flex the muscles - tho if you want to know the truth I can no longer get my wellies on! My calf muscles have grown so much!
Looking forward to going and starting. Trying to be really disciplined to on the suitcase. Chose the small one, so that I can't take too much. Although I do expect quite a bit of rain, so changes needed. Perhaps I should just walk in swimsuit and kagool! Well at least Nessie (Loch Ness) would not show his head if I did that. He would dive to deepest part and stay there. The shock would send him reeling!!!!

2 weeks to go

Ok weather - do your worst now, 'cos I do NOT want to walk in this. I will be blown into one of the Lochs!!!
Done a bit of training, bit being the operative word, but I will be fine. If you hear a scream weds 8th June, you will know I have it the pain barrier.
Got all my gear ready, the thing is do I take extra to cover the wet?
Decisions!

4 weeks to go

I know I am Mad - I have been told thousands of times.
This walk starts on the 6th June up in the hills of Scotland. I am incorporating two walks into one. The West Highland way - taking in Loch Lomond. (not literally)
Then onto The Great Glen Way, following alongside Loch Ness - so Nessie beware. I will be looking for you!
(Well it beats looking for sheep like last year!
The only snag I can foresee is the lack of signal to update, but I will do my best.
Training is ongoing and doing ok. Could do better, but there you go. Will be fine once I start.
I will keep you informed.
